WHITEWATER KAYAKING JUST FOR KIDS: KAYAK INSTRUCTION, KIDS KAYAK CAMP, KIDS KAYAK GEAR
We have a reputation for working well with kids because we know how to combine fun with skill development. You can choose between private instruction or participation in one of our scheduled kids camps —or a combination of the two.
What our Kids' programs are about:
Who are the Kids programs for? EVERYONE! Or at least everyone between the ages of seven and fifteen who is stuck on the idea of kayaking. We work with mentoring between older veteran paddlers and new paddlers to the program. Some of our veteran kids have been a part of kids weeks since its inception (and are now training ERA junior instructors).
- The focus of our program is to combine fun and learning. Our goal is to create responsible paddlers that have the skill, as well as a better know-how of safety, decision making and team work. Note: There are no parent tag-a-longs please!
The Annual 4th of July Camp Week. During the 4th of July Week, we offer three whitewater kayak sessions from beginner tp advanced skill levels. There is flexibility in the schedule to accommodate everyone’s need. Check out the dates and let's get you set up!
- The individual Weekend Sessions. If the 4th of July week is not the right time, check on the individual weekend sessions we offer throughout the summer.
- Two of of Newest Favorites! Junior Instructor Training and Ocoee Boot Camp. Check on the dates for both.
- We always incorporate a combination of slalom and freestyle training with the help of flat water gates and/or the Nantahala gates depending on how the days play out.
